How do you pray for others?

Religious leaders approach how and when to pray for others somewhat differently, but they generally agree that prayers for others should include details. This type of prayer is called intercessory prayer, wherein a believer articulates thoughtfully-chosen words that request God to give something of substance to someone in need.
A simple, analytical method of praying with a purpose prepares the mind to pray for some specific needs of others. Write down the name of a person. Jot down what you believe that person needs, such as finding a job, experiencing more faith or repairing relationships. Then, pray for each item in as much detail as you feel necessary.
