What predators hunt electric eels?

No predators regularly hunt electric eels thanks to their potent defense mechanisms. Electric eels can produce up to 650 volts with their larger electrical organs, and they use this to stun prey and deter predators, sometimes causing significant injury. Even humans largely avoid electric eels.

Electric eels can produce two types of electric pulses. The defensive jolts are produced by two different organs, while the lesser pulses are produced by a smaller organ known as the Sachs organ. They use the weaker pulses to detect their environments. This is necessary because of their weak eyesight and the murkiness of the waters where they live.
