Who is the present owner of MJR theaters?

MJR Digital Cinemas is owned and operated locally in southeastern Michigan by Mike Mihalich, who opened the movie theater chain in 1980 and has owned it throughout its existence. As of 2015, MJR consists of a network of nine theaters in Michigan.

Mihalich started in the industry Warner Brothers' distribution office. With the knowledge gained there, he and two friends founded Midwest Entertainment to help theaters make film deals. He eventually would parlay this experience into becoming the owner and operator of his own theater chain in 1980. He attributes his success in the movie theater industry to an emphasis on customer satisfaction and experience.
