What is a pressure washer unloader valve?
By Forinfos - 28/02/2026 - 0 comments
An unloader valve directs the flow of water and recirculates it when a pressure washer pump is running but not spraying water. It is necessary to recirculate unused water in a pressure washer while it is running to keep it from overheating.
A defective unloader valve is replaceable, and the process is relatively simple. All that's required is a replacement unloader valve and O-ring kit, a wrench set or adjustable wrenches, silicone lubricant and approximately 15 minutes of time. Replacement unloader valves are available at tool and parts stores and from online retailers. If the pressure washer is under warranty, a replacement valve may be available from the manufacturer.
