The primary audiences for the ICS 200 course by FEMA are government employees involved with emergency planning, response or recovery efforts. The course is geared to those likely to assume a supervisory position.
The ICS 200 course was developed by the FEMA Emergency Management Institute, in partnership with the National Wildlife Coordinating Group, the United States Department of Agriculture and the United States Fire Administration's National Fire Program Branch. It was designed to prepare Incident Command System personnel to respond appropriately during an emergency. The course is available in classroom and independent study formats, and .3 CEU credits are awarded to participants.
