How do you find printable income tax forms?

The Internal Revenue Service offers printable tax forms on its website. Most states also offer printable forms through the websites of their taxing authorities. For example, the State of California Franchise Tax Board offers printable forms online at FTB.CA.gov.

To find forms on the IRS’ website, click on the Forms & Pubs tab on the home page, and then browse forms by number or use the site’s Beta Search tool, notes the IRS. Browse prior year forms by clicking the Prior Year tab. The site presents the forms in PDF format for printing.

On the State of California Franchise Tax board’s website, you can locate forms by clicking on the Individuals tab on the home page and then clicking Forms & Instructions under the File section.
