What is the best product to kill lice on furniture?

The United States Center for Disease Control, or CDC, recommends that fumigant sprays and fogs not be used for lice on furniture. CDC states that these products are not necessary to control lice. Instead, the CDC recommends routine house cleaning for the removal of lice and nits.

The CDC states that vacuuming furniture is sufficient to remove any lice or nits that might have fallen off an infested person. Laundering any linens that can be washed is also an option for removing lice. Items that should be considered for cleaning are anything that has been in contact with an infested person in the 48 hours prior to treatment.
