Prometric Nurse Aid is a Certified Nursing Assistant exam for nurses. As of 2015 it is held in a number of different states including Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Nevada and New York.
The exams are based on federal nursing requirements and curricula. They include a written portion and a clinical skills test for which flat non-skid closed-toe shoes must be worn. Scrubs are not required but can be worn.
The initial application for the exam is submitted through the Prometric website or by mail along with supporting documentation and the required fee. Exams are administered at a proctored testing site. A full list of testing sites for each state is available at the website.
