What are prostate cancer survival rates?
By Forinfos - 17/08/2025 - 0 comments
The combined five-year survival rate for all stages of prostate cancer is nearly 100 percent, according to the American Cancer Society. The 10-year relative survival rate is 99 percent, and the 15-year relative survival rate is 94 percent.
As of 2014, improvements in detection and treatment have created high success rates in the treatment of the disease, according to the American Cancer Society. Four out of five diagnosed cases of prostate cancer occur when the cancer is in the local area, meaning that it has not spread to other areas of the body. Once the cancer spreads regionally to neighboring or distant parts of the body, such as bones or other organs, the cancer is more difficult to treat.
