By Forinfos - 06/08/2025 - 0 comments
On average, the normal PSA level for men is 4 ng/ml or below according to WebMD. Younger men usually have the lowest levels.
PSA is produced solely by the prostate gland and increased levels often indicate a large prostate. The higher the PSA levels, the higher the risk is for prostate cancer. PSA levels are tested through normal blood work and the result are typically known within several days of the testing. Only a doctor can order and interpret the tests. Some doctors recommend routine PSA screenings, especially for men who are at an increased risk of prostate cancer due to other factors.
