What is PSNH?

PSNH, or Public Service of New Hampshire, is an energy company that merged with other New England energy companies in 2015 to form Eversource Energy. PSNH merged with Connecticut Light & Power, Western Massachusetts Electric, NSTAR Electric & Gas and Yankee Gas.

PSNH started in 1926 as a merger of smaller electric companies throughout New Hampshire. The company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy before being purchased by Northeast Utilities in 1989.

As of 2015, Eversource Energy provides natural gas and electric service to customers in Massachusetts, Connecticut and New Hampshire. Through Eversource.com, customers can manage their account online and research and report outages.
