The Choccolocco Wildlife Management Area in Cleburne County, Alabama has 56,838 acres of public land available for big and small game hunting. The Upper Delta Wildlife Management Area spans 42,451 acres in Baldwin and Mobile counties and allows hunting of waterfowl as well as big and small game.
Alabama law requires a hunting licence, a management area permit and a management area license to hunt on public lands. A wildlife heritage license may be used instead of a hunting license and wildlife management area license when hunting small game. The Outdoor Alabama website hosts a complete list of public hunting land and all wildlife management area rules and regulations.
