What is the purpose of an editorial page?
By Forinfos - 26/10/2025 - 0 comments
The editorial page serves as a place for the newspaper publisher to express his or her opinion. It can also contain opinion pieces written by local residents and readers.
The publisher will often write an editorial to express the newspaper's opinion about a particular issue. For example, if there are strong issues that are dividing a community, the newspaper's editorial board will form a stance in regards to the issue and have the publisher write an editorial to highlight the issues and their opinions on it. Editorials are written with the purpose of influencing public opinion, and also try to get people to take action about a particular topic.
