To put on a sanitary pad, wash and dry your hands, and remove the pad from the wrapper. Peel off the backing, and place the sticky side of the pad on the part of your panties that goes between your legs.
- Wash your hands, and remove the wrapper
Wash your hands before handling the pad to prevent transferring bacteria to the pad. With clean hands, remove the pad from the wrapper.
- Peel off the backing
The pad has a thin paper backing that covers the sticky part of the pad. Remove this backing and dispose it with the wrapper.
- Place the sticky part of the pad on your panties
Place the pad lengthwise on the part of your panties that goes between your legs. Press the pad firmly to make sure it sticks securely to the panties.
- Remove the pad
After a few hours, the pad needs to be replaced. To remove the pad, roll it up like you would roll a sleeping bag, and wrap it inside of toilet paper or the wrapper from a new pad. Place the used pad in a trash can or designated sanitary napkin disposal bin. Never attempt to flush a pad down the toilet, as it can clog the toilet.
