The qualifying order for the 2015 Daytona 500 as determined by a group qualifying format in three rounds was Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Kyle Busch, Kasey Kahne, Carl Edwards, Ty Dillon, Austin Dillon, Dale Earnhardt, Jr., Jamie McMurray and Martin Truex, Jr., respectively. The Daytona 500 qualifying format was changed from individual to group for the first time in 2015.
Qualifying for the Daytona 500 is a preliminary event held in February to determine the starting lineup for the race based on the finishing order. The qualification races are also known as the Duel at Daytona, and they consist of two 150-mile races that are held the Thursday before race day.
