According to the Academic Senate for California Community Colleges, an example of a question about cultural diversity could be, "Explain how diversity has played a role in your career and contributed to the professional you are today." Many employers and college interviewers ask applicants questions about cultural diversity.

During the interview process, interviewers are looking for answers that include multiple representations of cultural diversity and demonstrate an applicant's actual experience and investment with diverse groups and people. They are also looking for answers that demonstrate the applicant's knowledge of both their own culture as well as the cultures of others.
