By Forinfos - 01/04/2025 - 0 comments
The world's domesticated rabbit population is estimated at 709 million. However, there are many different species of wild rabbits that live throughout the world. Since rabbits have been introduced to many habitats to which they are not native, it would be very difficult, to estimate the wild population.
While rabbits are found worldwide, they are only native to Southwestern Europe, Southeast Asia, Sumatra, Japan, Africa and South America. Rabbits may be kept as pets or as a source of food. Female rabbits are called does, while male rabbits are called bucks. A Young rabbit is known as a kit or a kitten.
