Rashes are one of the common symptoms of HIV. Other symptoms of HIV include diarrhea, fever, headache, chills and swollen lymph glands, as stated by Mayo Clinic.
HIV is caused by a virus and is spread through infected blood. A person would have to have the infected body fluid go into their body via sexual intercourse or a blood transfusion, as stated by Mayo Clinic. A person can also contract HIV by sharing needles, during pregnancy and even through breast feeding. As of 2015, there is no cure for HIV but there are medications patients can take to help relieve the symptoms.
