What are rave masks?

In 2014, Rolling Stone reported fans of these rave gatherings had been using the masks as a way to stay high after taking drugs, but its primary purpose is as an accessory. People who attend raves often find different ways of self-expression through apparel and accessories. Raves are known for mainly playing electronic dance music for the duration of the gatherings, so when attending raves, fans often wear colorful, comfortable clothing and accessories they can dance in.
