As of 2014, there has never been a $1 million bill printed by the U.S. government. The largest bill printed in U.S. history is a $100,000 bill, and it was only printed in two years, 1934 and 1935.
The $100,000 bill featured President Woodrow Wilson on the front. This bill was never in circulation for the general U.S. public, but only exchanged among Federal Reserve Banks. The largest bill printed that was put in circulation for the public is the $10,000 bill, which was distributed until 1969 but was last produced in 1945. The $10,000 bill featured a former U.S. Treasury Secretary, Salmon Chase, on the front side.
