Students use the "Realidades" series of textbooks by Pearson Prentice Hall to learn Spanish. The text uses an integrated approach to language that includes cultural and communication elements along with vocabulary and language. Digital learning is also a part of the process.
"Realidades A" and "Realidades B" target upper-elementary and middle school students, while "Realidades 1" is appropriate for middle or high school students in their first year of Spanish instruction. "Realidades 2" and "Realidades 3" support the second and third years of middle or high-school Spanish, while "Realidades 4" is used for fourth-year, pre-AP and AP courses. This last book also places a greater emphasis on interpretive, interpersonal and presentational communication, as well as modern culture.
