As of February 2015, GE appliance rebates can be redeemed via mail-in forms, and not all appliances are included in the rebate program. Rebates are sent in the form of a GE Visa prepaid debit card. The card can be used in automated teller machines; however, GE deducts a fee when using an ATM to retrieve cash from the card. This fee is in addition to any fee that the bank operating the ATM may charge. In some cases, GE issues a rebate check instead of a debit card.
