Is there a recall on Keurig coffee makers?

According to a news article released on CBC on Dec. 23, 2014, there was a recall of approximately 7.2 million Keurig coffee makers in the United States and Canada. The reason for the recall was due to an overheating issue with the machines that could cause water sprays during brewing.

The recall was spurred due to approximately 200 reports in the United States of machines spraying hot liquids during the brewing process. These incidents led to approximately 90 people receiving injuries that were burn related. Keurig also received 25 incident reports in Canada regarding the same issue with 17 of them resulting in minor burns.
