Do you receive free gifts in Animal Jam when you become a member?

Animal Jam players who sign up for recurring membership receive an instant gift and a weekly gift in the game, as of October 2015. The instant gift varies according to the length of membership a player purchases, but all members receive the same weekly gift.

Players purchasing one month of membership receive an instant 1,500 gems. Six-month subscribers receive 9,000 gems and 25 diamonds, and one-year subscribers receive 25,000 gems and 60 diamonds. All members get one free diamond per week. Membership also provides other extras, such as the ability to adopt customizable virtual pets, access to the full accessory line and invitations to game parties.
