What is the recipe for a screwdriver drink?

The recipe for the drink called the screwdriver is vodka and orange juice stirred together and served with ice. The drink first appeared in writing in 1938. As of July 2015, the screwdriver is designated as an IBA Official Cocktail by the International Bartender Association.

Ingredients

• One part vodka
• Two parts orange juice

1. Combine ingredients

Pour the vodka and orange juice into a highball glass filled with ice.

2. Stir

Gently stir the vodka and orange juice together.

3. Garnish glass

Garnish the drink with an orange slice before serving

A variation on this recipe mixes one part vodka, one part orange juice and one part orange soda. Other variations include Southern Comfort and Sloe Gin instead of vodka.
