The Down Jones Industrial Average broke its all-time record high when it gained 15.38 points, or around 0.08 percent on February 24, 2015, and hit 18,244.38, notes the International Business Times. Notably, the S&P 500 Index also broke its high the same day at 2,119.59.
The high occurred after an announcement by United States Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen that an increase in interest rates may not come until later in 2015.
