Symptoms of rubella include a pink rash or red spots on the skin. The rash usually accompanies a mild fever, inflamed eyes and tender lymph nodes, explains Mayo Clinic.
Rubella is a rash that spreads from the face to the rest of the body. Symptoms of rubella last around three days, states the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Although there is a vaccine for rubella, approximately 10 percent of those vaccinated are still susceptible to the disease, says Everyday Health.
Children should be vaccinated when they are around 1 year old. Pregnant women should be especially careful, as rubella can cause damage to the fetus, reports the CDC.
