Edward Kirkbride Thomas, more commonly known as E. Thomas, was an artist who lived from 1817 to 1906. He was born in Philadelphia, and he enlisted in the Army and fought against the Seminole Indians in Florida. He traveled throughout the United States before settling in Detroit, where he died. He is known for his pastoral landscape scenes, and it is unknown if he had any formal artistic training.
