How do you register for a Verizon Wireless account?

To register for a My Verizon account, navigate to the account registration page, called MyVerizonID, as shown on the Verizon website. Choose Wireless as the type of service to register, and then follow the prompts to create an account.

Follow the steps below to set up a Verizon account.

  1. Register a wireless account

    2. When registering for an account with wireless service, click on the Wireless check box, and then click Continue.

  2. Enter a mobile number

    3. Enter a 10-digit mobile number associated with the account, and click Continue. Verizon sends a registration PIN via a text message to the device. Have the device powered on and waiting before entering the 10-digit mobile number, as stated by Verizon. Click the Continue button, and wait for the text message.

  3. Enter the PIN number

    4. When prompted, finish entering account details to create the account.

To register an account for residential Internet, TV and home phone service, tick the box for Residential instead of Wireless, and then click on Continue. Click yes or no to indicate ownership of a home telephone number. Then provide any required information, and click on Continue. Follow the prompts as they pop up to finish registering for a Verizon residential account online.
