To remove adhesive, saturate the adhesive with baby oil, and rub it off with a plastic scouring pad. Finish up by washing the baby oil off with soap, water and a soft cloth, and buffing the surface dry.
- Saturate the adhesive with baby oil
Rub baby oil over the adhesive with a soft cloth until it appears damp. Avoid using too much oil. Let the oil sit on the surface for one minute to penetrate the adhesive.
- Scrub the adhesive with a plastic scouring pad
Rub the oil-soaked adhesive in a circular motion with a plastic scouring pad. Do not use metal scouring pads to avoid scratches. If the adhesive dries during scrubbing, add a little more baby oil to keep it moist. Continue scrubbing until all the adhesive is removed.
- Wash the baby oil off with soap and water
Wet a soft cloth with warm, soapy water, and rub it over the surface to remove the baby oil and any remaining adhesive residue.
- Rinse the surface
Wipe the surface thoroughly with a clean, wet cloth to remove the soap.
- Buff the surface
Rub the surface in a circular motion with a soft, dry cloth until it is dry and shiny.
