1. Pretreat the area

2. Prepare the detergent

   Add water to powdered detergent, and mix the two together until a thick paste forms. You can also use liquid detergent.

3. Apply the detergent

   Rub the detergent paste or liquid detergent into the pine tar stain. Allow the detergent to soak into the area for 30 minutes.
