To remove tree sap from fabric, blot the stain with a soft, alcohol-soaked cloth, and launder the fabric as normal. Select a detergent that is suitable for your fabric.

  1. Blot the sap

    Soak a soft cloth with rubbing alcohol, and blot the sap from the fabric. Blot the sap from the edges of the stain to avoid spreading the sap. For a large area or thick sap, pour the rubbing alcohol directly over the sap, and work the sap off the fabric with your fingers.

  2. Wash and rinse the fabric

    Wash the cloth normally with detergent and warm water, and rinse the fabric. Repeat the process until the stain disappears.

  3. Dry the fabric

    Put the fabric in the dryer, and run a dry cycle. Remove the fabric from the dryer once it is dry.
