How do you replace batteries?

Replace the batteries in any device by removing the old batteries and inserting replacements into the compartment. Always use batteries of the appropriate size and type.

1. Open the battery compartment

   Open the battery compartment on the device. Usually the compartment slides open with slight pressure from the fingers, but some devices have compartments that are sealed with screws.

2. Insert the batteries

   Remove the old batteries, and replace them with new ones. Make sure the plus and minus symbols on the batteries match up to the plus and minus symbols marked on the inside of the battery compartment.

3. Close the compartment

   Replace the cover of the battery compartment. Make sure it snaps firmly back into place to keep the batteries inside from shifting.
