Report spam to the Internet service provider from which the spam originated. You need to know the spammer's Internet service provider and the contact person for that provider. The process may take a few days depending upon the ease of discovering necessary facts and information.

1. Identify the Internet service provider of the spammer

   Use a spam reporting service application to help identify the Internet service provider of the spammer. This tool can weed out forged sources.

2. Contact the spammer's Internet service provider

   Most Internet service providers discontinue a spammer's service. Contact the provider with specifics of your case.

3. Forward the spam

   Save a copy of the spam, and forward it to the Internet service provider if required.
