Windows Vista can be restored in a couple of easy steps. Launch the System Restore, find the desired restore point, and apply it to the system.
- Find and launch system restore
In the start menu, select the search bar, and look up System Restore. Launch System Restore. Selecting System Restore launches a Wizard that guides the user through the process of restoring the system to a previously backed-up date.
- Select the desired restore point
There are two options for restoring the computer. Select the one recommended restore point chosen by Windows, or select the different restore point option that shows older points available for use. Each option can be reversed later on if the computer still has problems after rebooting.
- Wait for completion
The restoration process takes some time to complete. During this time, it is important that the computer does not lose power.
- Log In, and look around
Once the restoration process is complete, look for any problems that existed before the restoration.
- Undo or pick another restore point
If your computer is still having some issues after the restoration, then launch System Restore again. This time, the options available are Undo System Restore and Choose Different Restore Point. Repeat the steps until the desired outcome is achieved.
