Edmunds.com gave the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee a B rating, while U.S. News & World Report awarded it 8.1 out of 10. U.S. News also ranked the Grand Cherokee third in off-road SUVs, sixth in affordable SUVs with two rows and seventh in affordable mid-size SUVs.

Both reviewers rated the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee highly because of its technical features, strong off-road ability and luxurious interior design. However, the price of the vehicle is usually higher than similar vehicles, and the diesel engine can be loud while idling. The base engine is not very fuel-efficient, but customers can upgrade to one that is stronger and more efficient.
