Reviews of Merillat cabinets are mixed. For example, some customers found that the finish did not keep well, while others found that it maintained well.

A customer review of the basics range of Merillat cabinets says "The finish was so thin that it rubbed off in many places during installation," according to Kitchen Cabinets Reviews. However, a review of the classic deluxe range says they are "very rich with nice wood grain."

A review on ReKitchen says that the cabinets were delivered with rails and styles that were not even, and they were held together with randomly-placed glue which left the cabinets falling apart. A different reviewer says they have used Merillat cabinet for 7 years without problems.
