Is Richard Engel Married?

Journalist Richard Engel married his girlfriend of five years, Mary Forrest, in May 2015 at New York City Hall. This is the second marriage for Engel, who divorced his first wife in 2005.

In September 2015, Forrest gave birth to the couple's first child, a son. Engel announced the birth on Twitter, stating, "Couldn't be happier to welcome our baby boy."

Engel has received more than 20 awards for his excellence in journalism, including the Society of Professional Journalism Award, the Peabody Award and the Medill Medal for Courage in Journalism. He currently works as the chief foreign correspondent for NBC News.
