How do you get rid of bees?

Get rid of bees in an organic, nontoxic way by luring them away with sweet smelling fruit. It can take several days for bees to permanently leave a location. You need a sandwich bag and fresh fruit such as mangos or pears.

1. Slice up the fruit

   Choose a fruit with soft, aromatic flesh. Ripe pears and mangoes work well. Slice up the fruit into into pieces.

2. Place the fruit in a bag

   Place the pieces of fruit in a plastic sandwich bag. Make sure to leave the top of the bag unsealed so that the fragrance of the fruit can emanate into the air and attract the bees.

3. Place the bag in a good location

   Place the bag of fruit in a location that is from 15 to 20 feet away from the problem area. Leave it there for a few days.

4. Move the bag

   After a few days, move the bag farther away, drawing the bees after it. Do not worry if the fruit begins to rot; this just adds to the stimulating sweet aroma.

5. Keep moving the bag

   Every few days, move the bag of fruit a few feet away from the prior location. Repeat this process until the bees no longer return to the original problem area.
