Although the ring finger of the left hand is more common for wearing wedding and engagement rings, in some countries, such as Spain, India and Norway, they are worn on the right hand. Those who wear their wedding rings on the right hand believe the right hand is more dominant.

The ancient Greek and Romans believed that there was a vein in the ring finger of the left hand that lead directly to the heart. This vein controlled love. Cultures that opt to wear wedding rings on the ring finger of the right hand, however, do so because they believe the dominant hand signifies a very strong love.
