Rossi firearms are made by the Rossi company, which was founded in 1889 by Amadeo Rossi. As of June 2014, the Rossi company is still run by the same family line.

BrazTech International L.C. began as the exclusive importer of Rossi firearms in December of 1997. The company brought the weapons to North America. Before BrazTech, Interarms of Alexandria, Virginia brought in the weapons. In 1997, Forjas Taurus, S.A. acquired the right to manufacture the Rossi firearms. Rossi makes single-lever action rifles, single-shot shotguns, revolvers, matched-pair pistols and many other handguns. Retailers can become Rossi dealers and distributors through the Rossi website.
