How do you get a ROTC scholarship?

To get an ROTC scholarship as of 2014, you must meet certain academic, age and physical requirements, and you must be willing to serve in the U.S. Army. U.S. citizenship is required, and candidates must be between 17 and 26 years of age.
- Meet certain academic requirements
Maintain a grade point average of at least 2.5 in high school, and achieve an SAT score of at least 920 or an ACT score of at least 19. Earn a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Prepare for the Army Physical Fitness Test
Stay up to date with the requirements for passing the Army Physical Fitness Test. Exercise regularly to meet those requirements.
- Create an account, and apply
Create an account at the U.S. Army's website. Sign into your account, and hover over Careers & Jobs in the navigation menu. Select Army ROTC, and locate the ROTC scholarship application. Complete the application.
- Agree to commit your service to the U.S. Army
Accept a commission that requires you to commit eight years to the U.S. Army. Choose to serve on active duty four years in the U.S. Army and four years in the Individual Ready Reserve, or choose to serve in the Army Reserve or Army National Guard.
