What are the rules of Parcheesi?
By Forinfos - 02/05/2026 - 0 comments
According to HowStuffWorks.com, the goal of Parcheesi is to move four pawns from the player's home circle to the center of the board. Two dice are rolled to move the pawns around the board.
Certain rolls of the dice allow specific moves in Parcheesi. For example, a player must roll a five to get a pawn out of his home circle, and rolling doubles allows the player to take another turn. Play moves counter-clockwise around the board. Players are allowed to split the roll of the dice between two pawns for strategic reasons. Players need to roll exact numbers to get their pawns into the winning spot in the center of the board and must pass if they do not roll those numbers.
