How do you run as administrator?

In Windows, applications can be run with administrator permissions from the computer desktop. Right click the program, and select the Administrator option from the menu.

  1. Find the program or shortcut

    Locate the desired application in the Program Files menu in the computer's C drive. If the application has a shortcut on the desktop, it can also be run from there.

  2. Right click the program

    Select the program icon, and click the right mouse button. When a menu appears, select the Run as Administrator option, which is designated by a shield icon.

  3. Confirm the selection

    A window may appear asking for confirmation or permission to make changes to the computer. Click Yes to run the program.
