Who is Sade Baderinwa?

As of 2015, Sade Baderinwa is a news anchor for New York's WABC Channel 7. Originally the anchor of the noon broadcasts, she took over as co-anchor of the weekday 5 p.m. "Eyewitness News" and the 11 p.m. news.
The daughter of a German mother and Nigerian father, Sade Baderinwa was born Folasade Olayinka Baderinwa in Baltimore, Maryland, in 1969. An African American family adopted her after her parents abandoned her when she was young. Baderinwa joined WABC news in 2003 after anchoring the news in her hometown. In July of 2004, a hit-and-run driver struck her while she was preparing a report. After many surgeries, she returned to WABC in December of that year.
