A Samaritan's Purse shoebox is a box packed with gifts for a needy child and donated to the Samaritan's Purse International Relief organization for distribution at Christmastime. Samaritan's Purse collects donations throughout the year.

Traditionally, a Samaritan's Purse shoebox is made from an actual shoebox, although it does not have to be. Someone donating a shoebox packs it with gifts for a boy or girl in one of three age categories: 2 to 4, 5 to 9 or 10 to 14. Samaritan's Purse asks the donor to pray over the shoebox and consider adding a note or photo to it. Finally, if the person creating the shoebox donates money to get a shipping label, she can track the package to its final destination.
