Sanderson Farms chicken is not considered organic. Poultry is classified as organic when there is no use of additional antibiotics in the raising of the animal. Sanderson Farms states that if antibiotics are needed to treat its chickens, they are administered under the supervision of a certified veterinarian.
Sanderson Farms describes its chicken as all natural in terms of having no added growth hormones or artificial ingredients. The chicken is raised and handled in the United States with minimal processing and fed on a diet of corn and soy. Feed is produced on company owned mills and is not genetically modified.
