What is Santa Claus called in Denmark?

In Denmark, the character of Santa Claus is known as Julemanden, translated to mean "Yule Man." Previous to World War II, a similar character was known as Julenissen.

Julemanden is described as a short man with a beard who wears gray clothing and a red stocking hat. This mythical person visits children on Christmas Eve, celebrated in Denmark on December 24th, and brings gifts with the assistance of Nisse, which are elf-like creatures.

Julemanden is said to travel by sleigh or on foot. Unlike the American Santa Claus, Julemanden lives in Greenland, and children leave him rice pudding with cinnamon sugar and a pat of butter on top.
