What is Saxon Math?

Saxon Math is a core math curriculum published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt. This approach was developed by former United States Air Force officer and high school math instructor, John Saxon. It is designed to address the needs of students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
The curriculum uses an incremental approach, in which a limited amount of new math content is offered to the students each day, as well as allowing time for daily practice. Mathematical concepts are reinforced by gradually integrating new content into them, which promotes continued development, review, and practice over time, rather than teaching concepts in separate chapters or units.
