Which scorpions are deadly to humans?
By Forinfos - 17/01/2026 - 0 comments
Of more than 1,000 species of scorpions, only 25 are considered dangerous to humans. The most dangerous is the Indian red scorpion, according to National Geographic. It lives primarily in India and east Pakistan but, as of 2014, also has been found around Nepal and Sri Lanka.
In addition to the Indian red scorpion, other dangerous species include the deathstalker from Israel, and the bark scorpion, found in the southern United States. Although these arachnids are dangerous, most scorpions sting as a last resort, instead choosing to save their venom to catch and paralyze their prey, which consists of insects such as roaches.
